SAUSD ASSIST Partition Reporting
Built a partition parameter system for SAUSD’s ASSIST compliance reporting, enabling Lupita to generate separate reports for each of California’s four funding categories: After School Base Reporting (ASBR), Before School Base Reporting (BSBR), After School Supplemental Reporting (ASSR), and Before School Supplemental Reporting (BSSR).
The implementation involved adding reportingParameters to SAUSD’s organization metadata, tagging all relevant programs with their corresponding funding category, and modifying five Metabase queries to accept an optional partition parameter using PostgreSQL’s JSONB containment operator. The system is backward compatible—when no partition is selected, reports show all programs as before.
This also included enforcing Ed Code Section 8483.1(a)(2)(B), which specifies that students attending less than one-half of daily before-school program hours cannot be counted for attendance purposes. The report UI now explains the four reporting categories and their compliance requirements.

FPM Violation Criteria Definition
Completed the requirements gathering for the FPM Audit Report by documenting exactly what constitutes each violation type that triggers state monitoring findings. Working from customer feedback (“It’s not just check in, check out. It’s also parent signatures. It’s also ERFs if they leave early and they don’t have a code”), defined criteria for four violation categories: missing check-in, missing checkout, missing parent signature, and missing ERF code for early releases.
This specification work unblocks the FPM Audit Report development, ensuring the report will flag the exact conditions that cause districts to fail state audits.

FSUSD State Audit Support
Responded to urgent audit requests from Fairfield-Suisun USD, where state auditors requested enrollment documentation for specific students. Generated PDF enrollment forms containing program name, description, acknowledgment steps, registration timestamp, and signer information for the requested student records. Delivered two batches of documentation across multiple programs to support the district’s audit response.

Explo Report Usability Improvements
Shipped three report enhancements requested by customers:
Future Program Filter — Added a “Future” option to the program status filter on Program Assigned Staff and Program Roster reports. Programs with start dates after today now appear when “Future” is selected, addressing Beaumont’s need to see upcoming program configurations before they go live.
Emergency Contact Report Deduplication — Modified the query to show each student once with their programs aggregated into a comma-separated column, eliminating duplicate rows that appeared when students were enrolled in multiple programs.
AR Report Visualization Fixes — Made bar graph titles wrappable and added unduplicated student counts to Lilly’s Attendance Recovery sheet.

District Configuration Support
Provided configuration guidance for WJUSD’s summer program setup to ensure proper Attendance Recovery compliance, and answered Romoland’s questions about ASES ASSIST report numbers where HVES was showing fewer instructional days than RES due to earlier program structure changes.
