Short week due to Christmas holiday
P-1 PADC ADA Reporting System
Built automated California state Principal Apportionment Data Collection (PADC) reporting for Romoland’s first semester (Aug 14-Dec 19, 84 instructional days).
Three deliverables:
- District-level ADA summary showing Regular ADA, AR ADA, and placeholder rows for Special Ed categories
- School-level pivot table breaking down ADA by school and type across 6 schools
- HTML report documentation with validation notes and scope explanation
Key metrics: 2,387.23 Regular ADA + 13.49 AR ADA = 2,400.72 total ADA across 4 grade spans (TK/K-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-12).
Technical challenges resolved:
- AR ADA discrepancy from simplified calculation—required full UNION logic replication handling session-based + summer-only students
- School name resolution via dependent→location joins (aeries_students_mirror lacks school names)
- Absence code alignment between Regular and AR calculations
- PostgreSQL ORDER BY limitations in UNION queries (added explicit sort_order column)
Queries ready for Metabase scheduling for P-2 and Annual reporting cycles.
